      Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)

      Eligibility: Applicant should be an Indian National who should have studied the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE / Deemed Universities and scored a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the Engineering Degree examination. SC/ST applicants need only a pass the Engineering Degree course.  Those who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations, having a valid GATE score, a minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE / AMIETE examination with minimum three years' Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree are eligible to apply for admission to institutions under University of Kerala.

      Those who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam. Such candidates have to submit self-attested copies of all mark lists up to 6th semester along with the application. Selection of such candidates will be subject to the production of qualifying Degree on or before September 30, 2012 and satisfying eligibility conditions as applicable.

      Selection process: Selection of candidates will be based on the GATE score. In case of tie, advantage will be given to candidates who secure highest aggregate marks up to 6th semester in their qualifying examination. If sufficient GATE qualified candidates are not available, the selection will be made from Keralite candidates based on the aggregate marks up to 6th semester in their qualifying examination. Candidates who have produced Nativity Certificate, at the time of application will only be considered for this.

      How to apply: Applications should be filled online at: www.dtekerala.gov.in or www.cet.ac.in. After submitting the application online, an application fee of Rs 500/- (Rs 100/- in case of SC/ST candidates) is to be remitted in a specified branch of State Bank of Travancore with chalan generated on submission of the application.

      A printout of the filled up application along with copies of the following documents, must be send to the Principal, College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram-695016, so as to reach there latest by 4 pm on June 7, 2012 :
      (i) Engineering Degree certificate and Mark lists.
      (ii) GATE Score card (for Candidates with valid GATE Score).
      (iii) Community and Income certificate issued by the village officer for candidates who claim eligibility under SEBC quota .
      (iv) Community certificate issued by the Tahsildar for candidates who claim eligibility for reservation under SC/ST quota.
      (v) True copy of professional experience certificate from the Head of the organizations where the candidate is working in case of those who passed AMIE/AMIETE.
      (vi) Counterfoil of the chalan for remittance of application fee.
