The full form of AIIMS is the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. It is an organisation of public medical colleges. Its aim is to create a high standard of education in medical education for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Under the direction of Jawaharlal Nehru and Amit Kaur, AIIMS was established in 1956. By the parliament act, it was created as the centre to look for the potential across all aspects of healthcare.
The AIIMS offers excellent educational and learning resources. Enrolling in one of the AIIMS institutions is the goal of every medical student. Additionally, it is also recognised as an institute of national importance. To get admission to any AIIMS college, a student has to give a common entrance examination called the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
A student must be of 17 years of age.
Aspirants of the general category should have obtained 50% in senior secondary education, and aspirants of Other backward class (OBC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Scheduled Caste (SC) should have obtained 40%. Persons with disabilities(PWD) has a minimum requirement of 40% marks.
Aspirants should have English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biochemistry as their main subjects.

AIIMS is established by the Government of India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The question paper has three sections, namely physics, chemistry and biology. It consists of a total of 200 questions, out of which students have to solve 180 questions. There are 50 questions in each chemistry and physics section and 100 questions in the biology section.
Good memory and in-depth knowledge are required to clear the AIIMS entrance exam.
AIIMS provides a variety of medical courses, it has twenty-five clinical departments covering all aspects of clinical conditions, and it also runs a college of nursing.
Mansukh Mandaviya was appointed as the president of AIIMS Delhi in 2022 and is still continuing.
Dr M Shrinivas was appointed as the director of AIIMS Delhi in 2022 and is still continuing.
Neena Khanna was the dean of AIIMS Delhi from 2021 to 2022.
