TAPMI accepts standard aptitude tests administered across India for students seeking admission to postgraduate colleges that require scores from the entrance exams accepted by TAPMI. The most crucial prerequisite for getting shortlisted for TAPMI MBA course is a CAT, XAT, or GMAT score.

CAT: The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer-based admissions examination. Top B-schools in India, such as IIMs, XLRI, and others, accept the CAT score. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability are the three components on which the questions are based. At the national level, the CAT exam is held once a year. The CAT exam has a total duration of 120 minutes and is administered online. Candidates must fill out an application form online and pay a fee of Rs. 2200 to apply for the CAT exam.

XAT: Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), like CAT, is a prominent B-school entrance exam for individuals seeking admission to XLRI and other top MBA universities' MBA/PGDM programmes. The XAT exam is likewise only given once a year. Candidates must pay Rs. 1750 to apply for this national level test. The XAT is an online test that takes three hours to complete.

GMAT: The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is another well-known university-level management entrance exam. The exam is used to evaluate students' analytical and other critical skills and knowledge. The Graduate Management Admission Council administers the GMAT, which is a university-level exam. The exam takes 3 hours and 3 minutes to complete in online mode.

TAPMI Manipal's MBA programme features a two-way admission approach, with one for candidates with less than 20 months of work experience and the other for persons with more than 20 months of work experience. The TAPMI Manipal MBA admissions procedure is the same for both types of candidates, with the difference that candidates in the first case must acquire minimum cut-off marks in CAT/XAT/GMAT, X, XII, and graduation, whilst there are no cut-off marks in the second situation. Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the admission exam and all previous exams, work experience, extracurricular activities, and statement of purpose. After shortlisting candidates from both categories, the institute conducts an English proficiency test, a group discussion, and personal interviews. Hello saumya,

As you have secured 85 percentile in cat 2022 so let me tell you will most probably clear the cut off criteria but it's difficult to tell about your pi because pi totally depends on your personal attributes . You need to be strong at your communication skills.

As far as your grade is concerned it's a pretty decent score and you would get the full points for your 10th and 12th results.

Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

Hello There!

You should definitely go for it!  90 percentile is the cut off for general pgdm. 85 plus is the cut off for bfs (since it is a new course) and HR programme. For engineers they will get a call if their percentile is within these respective brackets. But for conversion they should showcase a really good interview and extempore performance.  For non engineers a decent performance in the interview should make the conversion, provided they have good acads or tradable workex.

Good luck
