The acronym IRTF is expanded as Internet Research Task Force. It concentrates on longer-term web-related research concerns. IRTF is a firm that develops research groups to investigate advancements in internet technology. The IRTF is led by the IRTF Chair, with input from the web Research Steering Group (IRSG). The IRTF might be made up of several targeted and long-term Research Groups. These organisations focus on architecture, applications, internet protocols, and technology. Research Groups have the permanent future membership required to advertise the event of research collaboration and teamwork in investigating research topics. Participation is by individual contributions rather than representatives of organisations. The IRSG comprises the IRTF Chair, the chairs of several Research Groups, and additional representatives of the research community chosen by the IRTF Chair.
