Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation University, Guntur was founded in 2009. It was declared as a Deemed to be University in 2009 by UGC, MHRD Govt. of India. KL Deemed to be University is located on the banks of the Buckingham canal of the Krishna river, eight kilometres from Vijayawada city. It is situated in a spacious 100-acre campus with a built-up area of over 20,00,000 Sq Ft. The new off-campus, with a built-up area of 10,00,000 Sq.ft., has come up in 2017 at Hyderabad, Moinabad, Aziznagar Road, near TSPA Junction, on the road leading to Chilkur Balaji temple which is a temporary campus while the permanent campus is being ready at Bachupally. KL University has several infrastructural facilities on the campus premises for the students.

KL University has various facilities on the campus for the students and faculty members. KL University facilities include well-maintained classrooms, a central library, hostel facilities, internet with Wi-Fi, e-learning platforms, sports complex, cafeterias, dispensary and a vehicle for an emergency, Post Office, banking facility and ambulance service is available 24 hours in case of any emergency in the institute/hostels.
Boys Hostel: KL University facilities and infrastructure include 7 boys’ hostels with well-furnished rooms, Wi-Fi and other modern amenities. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on their studies. Housing nearly 2500 students, different rooms accommodate 2 or 3 students per room. AC rooms with attached bathrooms are also available. In the boys’ hostel, there is a well-maintained kitchen, spacious dining area and generators for power back up have been provided. Emphasis is laid on hygiene and cleanliness for healthy living. Round-the-clock security, communication, dispensary facilities are also available.
Girls Hostel: KL University facilities and infrastructure include 2 girls’ hostels on the campus premises. KL University girls’ hostel includes well-maintained rooms, Wi-Fi connectivity and other facilities. Housing nearly 1800 students, different rooms accommodate either 2 or 3 students per room, alongside a dormitory. AC rooms with attached bathrooms are also available. A well-kept kitchen, a large dining room, and generators for power backup are all available in the girls' hostel. For a healthy life, hygiene and cleanliness are prioritised. Security, communication, and dispensary services are all accessible 24x7.
Gym: KL University has well-equipped gymnasiums for the students on the campus. There is ‘Cybex International’ exercise equipment in gyms. The university has gymnasiums for girls and boys.
Library: This central library, which was built as a Green Building and now has over 185,000 documents and 15 online databases. The centrally air-conditioned library provides a pleasant reading and studying environment. KLU-Central library is fully automated using Koha open source software and RFID technology. One can access the subscribed e-resources by using the KLEF e-library mobile app. The central library can accommodate up to 1000 people at a time, and they can use the study rooms, discussion rooms, and open reading halls to study and read. The library staff are highly skilled professionals who can assist with academic and research-related activities. The Digital Library has 100+ computer terminals to access the subscribed e-resources. This includes 31088 e-journals, E-books, manuals, reports, standards and other information from ASCE, ASME, ASTM, Bentham Science Pharma collection. Online International and National Law Journals are available through a digital library. KL University library has the latest textbooks, research journals, magazines and management books of several genres.
KL University central library has a huge collection of documents, with about 1,90,000 volumes and 32,000 non-book materials, including well-known databases. It holds materials relevant to the Engineering, Science, and Humanities courses and includes Agricultural Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Law, and specialized books and journals.
Sports: KL Deemed to be University encourages students to explore their talent by providing good sports and games facilities like archery, powerlifting/weight lifting, chess, softball, taekwondo/wushu, table tennis. KL University is equipped with the following facilities: coaches with international standards for all major sports and games, gymnasium for girls, gymnasium for boys, multipurpose room with chess, carrom etc, multipurpose room with taekwondo/wushu, hobby centre, athletic track, cricket field with net practice, synthetic badminton courts, tennis courts, throw ball court, volleyball courts, indoor stadium, synthetic badminton courts, yoga and meditation centre, football field, handball court, hockey field, kabaddi courts, kho kho court and basketball courts.
Cafeteria: KL University facilities and infrastructure include a well-maintained canteen and cafeterias at various places on campus. KL University has a large canteen with modern equipment and a clean environment that serves high-quality food and provides fast service to all students and employees. On the campus, there is a 1500-square-meter central cafeteria. Mini cafes and fast-food outlets may be found around various blocks. From 6:30 a.m to 8:30 p.m the canteen is open. There is a wide variety of North and South Indian cuisine and students enjoy eating during the breaks. Cool aqua water for drinking is also available.
Medical/Hospital: KL University has a dispensary on-campus. On the campus, there is an emergency vehicle that is used during emergency situations. Two physicians work in the KLEF dispensary who carry out routine treatments and check-ups.
IT Infrastructure: The KL University facilities and infrastructure include well-maintained IT infrastructure. A well-equipped data centre with advanced servers provides a highly interactive learning environment with full-fledged hardware and software training facilities. The data centre is furnished with a hi-speed fibre optic network.
Transport facility: The university runs 84 non-A/C buses and 02 A/C buses with a total seating capacity of 4400 students in two shifts, covering all important points in Vijayawada City, Guntur, Tenali, Mangalagiri, Vuyyuru, Kankipadu, and Dondapadu (via Thullur). Ambulance service is available 24 hours a day in the case of an emergency in the university/hostels. Transport facility is available for conducting industrial visits, educational tours, and special tours, among other things.
Laboratories: Computer networking, software engineering, knowledge engineering, embedded systems, communications systems, and other fields have fully functional labs at KL University. KLU's labs are collaborative facilities between the institution and companies including Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Oracle, and NI LabView. KL University has well-maintained laboratories with advanced equipment and software.
Bank Facilities: KL University has a banking facility (SBI) with an ATM facility for all students.
Open-air theatre: The university has an open-air auditorium, with a seating capacity of 4500 for conducting various cultural activities throughout the year.
Seminar Halls and Convention Centres: On the campus, there are separate seminar halls for staff and students with all the facilities.
Other amenities; The campus is a self-sufficient enclave with blacktop and well-lit roads. STD/ISD pay phones, fax, courier service, a bookshop with all varieties of textbooks, stationery, copier facilities, laundry facilities, and a digital photo studio are among the facilities available. Inside the campus and hostels, standby power generators are available at all times. In addition, cable television facility is available in hostels. Meanwhile, other KL University facilities are backup generators for the entire University and hostels, Post Office, protected drinking water, covered parking facility for vehicles, accommodation to limited faculty, computer facility for all faculty members, guest house, round the clock security and common rooms for students.

If I can keep the information in front of you, I believe you can make a better decision. KL and GITAM are considered to be universities. KL receives an A++ rating whereas GITAM only receives an A+. The NAAC rating represents the level of education. A higher rating is usually a plus.
In terms of placements, GITAM and KL are competitive, however KL boasts a 15-year track record of 100% placements whereas GITAM makes no mention of such a record. Therefore, I believe KL has a competitive advantage when it comes to educational standards and job placements.
