Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a private university that is situated in Phagwara, Punjab, India. LPU was established in 2005. The university has various infrastructural facilities for its students and staff members. LPU infrastructure and facilities include a central library, Fashion stitching lab, space centre, Chemistry laboratories, museum, a media laboratory, amphitheater. Some other LPU infrastructure and facilities are the auditorium, aviation lab, innovation studio, student residences, indoor stadium, playgrounds, gym, yoga center, bank facility, sports facility, convenience stores, dining hall, food courts, university mall, in-house laundry, medical facility and many more.

The entire Lovely Professional University (LPU) campus spreads over 600 acres in boundary on the outskirts of Jalandhar and houses over 47,579 students. There are various sports facilities available on the campus and the university has big playgrounds which include badminton courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, handball courts, squash courts, archery grounds, hockey grounds, boxing rings, skating zone, shooting range, etc. The university also has hostel facilities and these hostel facilities can be availed by the students. In-house laundry, mess, transport facility, medical assistance, indoor stadium sports facility, storeyed library, gym are the facilities available in the LPU hostels.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) Hostel

LPU provides residential facilities to its students. The university provides a safe and secure residential facility for boys and girls. Ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs, and disciplinary misconduct are all prohibited at the university. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to the residential facility. LPU residential facilities have dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. For students, in-house laundry services are available at a nominal charge. Fast and convenient bus service is available from most corners of Punjab and nearby areas. The university has a 24 hours 30-bed hospital that is staffed with resident medical officers, medical lab, dieticians and physiotherapists. The indoor sports facility is being introduced with the membership of 3 different packages of games such as swimming, shooting, squash, badminton, volleyball, basketball and combative sports. Lovely Professional University provides quality residence (with above-average necessities) for students' living comforts by keeping student's needs in mind. It has a huge Library System with 11 branches and there are more than 20 lakh books and e-books in all subject fields. Particularly for hosteller students, a gym facility is being offered at two separate locations with subsidised charges.

• Air conditioner, attached washroom, and geyser in each room.

• Wooden box bed, study table, chair and almirah.

• Permission to use electrical gadgets having a maximum load of up to 5 amperes per apartment.

• One and two Seater apartments have an attached lobby and kitchen area.

• 24 hours security services, CCTV surveillance, electricity backup, water supply, staff assistance and medical service (medicines and tests on payment).

• Study room, TV room, lift facility, fire fighting system, purified water facility, maintenance services, Wi-Fi service, free electricity units (as applicable) and playgrounds.

LPU Library

Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers a huge Library System with 11 branches. The biggest one is the Central Library located in Block-37. LPU libraries have a total area of 10,000+ sq. mt. There are more than 20+ lakh books and e-books in all subject fields. LPU academic community is well-catered by all departmental libraries. The library system subscribes to a number of journals, magazines and newspapers. A good number of theses/dissertations and research reports are available in libraries. Besides books, the library system also possesses rare book collections, special reports, reference sources, audio-visual material etc. LPU library system uses LIBSYS ILMS for handling day to day routine tasks of all the libraries. It makes use of RFID and a Barcode system for inventory and security of library materials. The library system also offers ICT based resources to its users, such as e-books, e-journals, databases. The E-resources subscribed by University Library are IEEE, Springer, EBSCO, Capitaline, Manupatra, JGate plus, DELNET, JSTOR, Ebooks academic collection, McGraw Hill Ebooks collection, S.Chand Ebooks collection, Shodhganga, Shodhgangotri, INFLIBNET, NDL etc.
