NTA Eligibility- National Testing Agency(NTA) determines the eligibility criteria of various exams conducted by it. Candidates are advised to go through the NTA eligibility criteria before applying for any of the exams. It is mandatory for the candidates to fulfil the eligibility requirements to be eligible for the exam.

If candidates do not meet any eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authorities, this could lead to disqualification. NTA conducts exams like JEE Main, NEET, JNUEE, CMAT, UGC NET, GPAT, NCHM, IIFT, ICAR, and DUET. NTA Eligibility-JEE Main

The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main exam every year for admission into the BTech and BArch/BPlan courses. The authorities will release the JEE Main eligibility criteria along with the official brochure, Candidates can check the JEE Main eligibility criteria mentioned below in the table:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam

Number of Attempts

Candidates are allowed to attempt JEE Main for three consecutive years. Since the examination is held twice a year, the candidates can attempt JEE Main six times in three years.

Admission Criteria for IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs

For Paper I (B.Tech) - For admissions into NITs, IIITs and CFTIs, the candidates should have secured minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or should fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.


For Paper II (B.Arch) - Should have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent.

NTA Eligibility - NEET

Candidates can refer to the NEET eligibility criteria by NTA mentioned below:

  • Candidates appearing for their class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to appear for the exam.

Minimum marks required in qualifying exam

Each candidate must have scored the following in their class 12 or equivalent in aggregate:

  • General category candidates - 50%

  • PwD candidates - 45%

  • SC/ST/OBC NCL candidates– 40%

Additional Biology and Open School students

Candidates with Biology as an additional subject in Class 12 are also eligible.

Students who have completed Class 11 and Class 12 from open school are also eligible. (Subject to any new guidelines that may be announced by NTA).

NTA Eligibility- CMAT

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria which is prescribed by NTA before proceeding to fill the application form. The eligibility criteria of CMAT comprises the academic qualifications, age criteria and nationality.

  • Academic Qualifications - Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation or have completed their graduation can apply.

  • Age Limit- As per CMAT eligibility criteria, there is no age limit for those candidates who can appear in the entrance exam.

  • Nationality - Only Indian citizens are eligible to appear for the Common Management Admission Test.

NTA Eligibility- JNUEE

Candidates who wish to apply for JNU admission 2020 must keep in mind that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria of JNU 2020 in order to sit for the online examination. The JNUEE eligibility criteria 2020 comprises the academic qualifications, age criteria and nationality.

  • For BA (H) Arts programme, candidates must have passed Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent exam with at least 45 per cent marks.
  • Appearing candidates of Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent exam can also apply.
MA
  • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 patterns from this university or any other recognized university with at least 50% marks.
M.Sc Life Sciences
  • Candidates should have completed B.Sc./B.Tech or Equivalent in Biological/Physical/Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology from any recognized Institute/ university with a minimum 55 per cent aggregate marks.

NTA Eligibility- ICAR AIEEA

The university has set up a criterion for the candidates to fulfill in order to be deemed as eligible to take the online examination. The candidates must make sure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of ICAR AIEEA 2020 in all the levels, i.e. academic eligibility, category-wise eligibility and age-bar. These levels are given as below-

ICAR AIEEA Eligibility Criteria - Academic Qualification

  • The candidates who are seeking admission in ICAR AIEEA 2020 UG programmes must make sure that they have qualified their 12th standard of the CBSE Board or any other examination within scope and standard which is equivalent to the Senior Secondary Examination of a recognised Indian Board/University.
  • The candidates who apply for PG programmes of ICAR AIEEA 2020 must make sure that they have passed all of the three years of their bachelor’s degree.

ICAR AIEEA Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

  • For undergraduate programmes, candidates must have at least 16 years of age as on 31.08.2019.
  • For postgraduate programmes, candidates must have at least 19 years as on 31.08.2019.

DUET Mass Communication Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of DU DSJ 2020 includes the academic, age and other parameters which the candidates must meet before they start filling the application form. A candidate must fulfill the below-mentioned Eligibility Criteria for DUET mass communication 2020 such as:

  • Candidates must score in 10+2 (Irrespective of their stream) at least 50% in class 12 are eligible to appear for the entrance exam. The aggregate of candidates’ marks will be calculated based on the four subjects, which comprises one compulsory language, along with three elective subjects.
  • The admission will be done on the basis of all India Entrance exam to be conducted by the University of Delhi

UGC NET Eligibility Criteria by NTA

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks in Master’s degree in Humanities and Social Science (including languages), Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc. from UGC-recognized university/institutions or equivalent

  • Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD/Transgender category are required to have at least 50% marks in Master’s degree

Age Limit

  • For candidates applying for JRF, the upper age limit is 30 years of age

GPAT Eligibility by NTA

Age Limit- There is no age limit prescribed

Qualifying examination-

  • Candidates must have completed a 4 year course in Pharmacy after 10+2 from a recognized university

  • Final year students of B.Pharm are also eligible to apply, provided that their result should be declared before the session commences.

  • Candidates with a degree in B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) are not eligible.

NCHMCT Eligibility by NTA

  • Age Limit- The upper age limit for General and OBC candidates is 25 years while for SC/ST candidates it is 28 years.

  • Educational Requirements- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams with English as one of the subjects. Candidates appearing in Class 12 can also appear provided that they submit the proof of passing the qualifying exam by September of the year they are considering admission for, otherwise, their provisional admission will be canceled.

  • Physical- Candidates have to provide a physical fitness certificate from a recognized medical practitioner.

IIFT Eligibility by NTA

DUET Exam B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for the entrance examination for admission to B.Tech degree programme must meet eligibility criteria of DUET B.Tech. The eligible candidates will only be able to apply for the admission through DUET. Application form of candidates not meeting the set DUET eligibility criteria will be rejected. Candidates must meet the following set eligibility criteria:

  • Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have qualified their Class 12th and must have secured an aggregate of 60% marks in the qualifying examination.

  • Qualifying Subject: Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in four subjects which must include Mathematics as compulsory subject.

  • Age: There is no age criteria for candidates applying for admission to UG courses and wishes to get admission to participating colleges of DUET except in the programmes where the respective regulatory bodies, such as Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Dental Council of India (DCI), etc. have prescribed the minimum age requirement in their regulations.
