What is the full form of CCC ?
CCC stands for Course on Computer Concepts. It is essentially an introductory IT literacy program designed to improve computer literacy in day-to-day business-related activities. This particular course is a completely online certification course that allows a layperson to learn basic computer concepts and information technology.
The course on computer concepts was introduced for common people by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) , which operates under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), the government of India.

As mentioned above, CCC is a computer concepts course. An innovative course that provides an overview of basic computer concepts. You can apply for the CCC course throughout the year, a basic IT-level course that enables people to operate and perform routine tasks on computers. And it aims to expand the digital footprint in the country.
About NIELIT
National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), (formerly DOEACC Society), an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India, was established to develop human resources and related activities in the field of information, electronic and communication technologies (IECT). NIELIT is engaged in both formal and informal education in the field of IECT, in addition to developing industry-oriented quality education and training programs in cutting-edge fields. NIELIT has endeavored to set standards to be the leading institution in the country for IECT examinations and certification. It is also one of the National Examining Bodies that accredit institutions/organizations to run IT courses in the informal sector.
Eligibility criteria for CCC
CCC course aspirants can appear for the NIELIT CCC exam in three ways and the eligibility criteria for these different exam modes are suggested below:
Mode 1: You can be a candidate sponsored by NIELIT institutes and approved by NIELIT institutes conducting CCC course irrespective of any qualification.
Mode 2: You can be a candidate sponsored by government recognized schools or colleges with a unique ID number from NIELIT for conducting CCC course. You can take the course regardless of your education.
Mode 3: You can also be a direct applicant, regardless of any education.
How to apply for the CCC Course?
The CCC application process is completely online. Interested parties can register by following the procedure below.
- Visit National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology – http://nielit.gov.in
- Go to the Student section on the home page.
- Click on the Digital Literacy Courses section
- Here the list of available courses including CCC will be presented to the candidates
- Select CCC and continue with the registration
- Applicants will then be redirected to enter their details in the application form.
- Read the instructions again before submitting
- Finally, candidates will have to pay the CCC exam fee – which is INR 500 (+ tax wherever applicable).
- After paying the fee and submitting the application, applicants will receive a confirmation of successful completion of registration.
CCC Course Syllabus
This computer literacy course syllabus includes a total of eight chapters on computer concepts such as:
- Introduction to computers
- Introduction to GUI based operating system
- Elements of word processing and spreadsheets
- Introduction to the Internet
- WWW and web browsers
- Communication and collaboration
- Presentation application
- Application of digital financial services.
Obtaining a CCC Certificate

- As a candidate who has attended the CCC exam, you can get your CCC certificate online only.
- Only digitally signed electronic certificates are issued to candidates.
- You can download CCC digital certificate from the link http://nielit.gov.in/certificate/.
- All you need to do is verify the certificate details and fill in the necessary details before clicking the submit button.
- You will be prompted to verify the code via SMS or email and verify your digital signature.
- You can download the CCC certificate using Adobe Reader or Internet Explorer and save the CCC certificate PDF file for future use.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The total length of the ccc course is 80 hours. However, this course can also be offered as a ten-day face-to-face intensive course with 8 hours per day.
Completion of the theoretical part takes 25 hours
The teaching part of the course lasts until the end of 5 hours.
Exercises are the most important part and will take 50 hours
Students who complete this course will gain a basic understanding of email, Internet searching, and business concepts. This is also a beginner course for people who want to do some advanced computer science courses. The topics for this course have been carefully selected to give students a clear concept. Overall, it is a basic course designed to provide an awareness of information technology.
The minimum score of the CCC exam is 50% marks and you must get it to qualify for the CCC exam.
There is only one exam for the CCC certification course.
