PRINCE2 Agile is a certification course specially developed to combine the two project management frameworks namely PRINCE2 methods and Agile techniques. Put simply, the course is a tailored form of the PRINCE2 certification course suited to Agile environments – an environment which encourages a team of people to work towards a common objective. 

The PRINCE2 Agile Certification training primarily covers the interface between PRINCE2 project management and Agile product delivery. In this course, candidates undertake a detailed study of the PRINCE2  methods, techniques, and concepts in an Agile environment. And the course has two qualification exam levels – Foundation and Practitioner.

In the Foundation level, candidates learn the basics of PRINCE2 and Agile concepts and techniques along with how to apply the two in conjunction. Once a candidate passes the Foundation level, they advance to the Practitioner level. In this level, candidates learn how to apply the PRINCE2 Agile Certification training in practice via real-world project examples.

Evaluation process

A certificate course in PRINCE2 Agile Certification training has two levels of examinations – Foundation and Practitioner. An eligible candidate must pass the Foundation level exam to advance to the Practitioner level exam. 

You can take the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner exam in either of the two ways –

  • Book an exam via PeopleCert i.e. the PRINCE2 Agile Examination Institute

  • Give the exam at the end of a training course with an accredited institute or trainer

For the foundation exam, which is a closed book exam, participants need to answer multiple-choice questions that have 50 questions. The exam duration is one hour and you need at least 55 per cent marks to clear the exam. 

For the Practitioner exam, which is an open book exam, participants need to attempt multiple-choice questions with 50 questions. The duration is 2.5 hours and you need at least 60 per cent to clear the exam.

Your PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner certificate will be valid for three years. Before the validity period is over, your either need to re-appear for the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam or you need to pay a yearly subscription to My PRINCE2 and maintain the certificate with CPD points and digital badge.
