Course overview

The Vocational: Community Health online course equips candidates with all the skills needed for community healthcare professionals. In emergency situations (eg - burns, sudden road accident, drowning, bleeding, injury from household machines and equipment, high fever, severe abdominal pain or liver pain starts in a pregnant woman, electric current, natural calamity etc.) we need immediate help from doctors and hospitals, which are often not around and the patient needs immediate first aid. At that time, a skilled community health worker is needed, who can help the patient and give immediate first aid, arrange an ambulance and, according to the condition of the patient, refer them to the Primary Health Center (PHC) or another concerned hospital.

The Vocational: Community Health syllabus includes various health and medically important topics. These skilled trained health workers are an important link between the patient and the doctor and act as lifesavers in natural calamities and emergency situations. Vocational: Community Health training is one such program that provides training in proper management and first aid in emergency situations as well as empowers the trainee by imparting skills related to maternal healthcare, paediatrics and child health care, prevention of diseases, national health programme, family welfare etc.
