Aarooran Polytechnic College, Tiruvarur believed in 2007, is an affiliated college situated in Tamil Nadu, India. Boasting of a beautiful campus measuring 16.77 acres this institution has recognitions from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college currently has Four Diploma programs in engineering disciplines, and the total number of students enrolment is 580. The college has a strength of professors and lecturers with 40 members, and thereby the institution has good student- faculty ratio that facilitates good interaction between the students and the faculties. The society, through the programs offered at the institution, fully embraces technical education in the different areas of specialization such as Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics and Civil Engineering.

An efficient teaching aid came in the form of a resource library with over 12821 books, 41 present magazines, and well over 500 CD/DVD’s. To this end, the library has links with DELNET and NPTEL through which, the learners are able to access advanced learning resources. IT connectivity and services meet today’s educational necessity and fully equipped labs take care of practical training demand of every department. 

To favour the extracurricular activities there are available facilities like – Sports – Auditorium for Cultural programmes – Seminars. The student’s welfare is boosted by provision that as follows Hostels for Boys and girls, Cafeteria, Health centre with first-aid facilities. The college also offers transport facilities so that people especially students and staff can easily commute in it.

The present awarding institution, Aarooran Polytechnic college provides total of four full time engineering diploma courses and all of each of them take three years. The institution’s total approved intake is at 240 students for its various programs. These courses are meant to build a core knowledge of the subject matters and enable the students to be fit for the engineering job market.
