ADDAH, established in the year 2005 in Melmaruvathur, Tamil Nadu, has been making consistently rapid strides in reputation as one of the most leading dental colleges and hospitals in the country. It has received an impressive rank of 39 for the Dental category as stated on NIRF 2024 ranking. This affiliated college is seated on a total area of 28 acres and is accredited by NAAC, along with being approved by the Dental Council of India. The Environmental factors, its strategic location, a student enrolment of 451 students and faculty of 211 students enable this institute to offer proper dental education. This college offers 8 courses in 2 programs consisting of different aspects of dentistry that would include orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery among others.
Unfortunately, the institution has established a number of worthy and efficient infrastructures equipped with modern equipment and facilities to meet the students' academic needs and other concerns. It occupies about 8700 sq. ft. The library boasts of over 4,322 books and 50 different journals that can greatly assist the dental field in learning. Technology's grip within the college can also be observed from the virtually fully automated powered, Wi-Fi library system and a significantly high speed of internet. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with basic facilities and provision for power failure for round-the-clock electricity supply. There is also a health center equipped with first aid facilities along with a hospital block and 269 dental practicing chairs within it.
Adhiparasakthi Dental College and Hospital offers Dental courses and undergraduate as well as post graduate programs for students. Currently, the institute offers 8 full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programs consisting of Bachelor of Dental Surgery [BDS] and various Master of Dental Surgery [MDS] specializations. The board has sanctioned a total of 130 seats in totality for all the courses with 100 seats for the BDS and thirty for each of the MDS specializations.
Adhiparasakthi Dental College and Hospital follows all the rules that have been put forward by the Government of India, Dental Council of India, and the state Government of Tamil Nadu while admitting its students. In BDS program 65% of admission are from Tamil Nadu state government counseling while 35% of seats come under management quota. All courses are offered on merit in NEET for undergraduate courses and NEET MDS for post graduate courses. The common counseling procedure include that followed by the Tamil Nadu government in both the Government and Management quota seats are followed in the college.
