About Advait Vedanta Institute of Technology, Jaipur
Advait Vedanta Institute of Technology was established in 2012 and is counted amongst the leading University of Engineering in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Located in a large 20 acre complex, AVIT has been imparting technical education to budding engineers. It is an affiliated college under AICTE Act, which came into existence to act as a standard setter in technical education across the country. AVIT has recruited 35 faculty members who are passionate teachers and mentors to give students proper learning facilities. The institute has seven courses aligned to two levels of degree; the courses cover different engineering disciplines to meet the needs of varied students and market requirements.
Advait Vedanta Institute of Technology owns well-equipped modern infrastructures and facilities. The institute has its own stocked library to store knowledge and the resources available in the library in both types – printed and electronic which include books, journals, databases and audio visual. An awesome information technology part is highlighted through modern computer laboratories comprising technologically advanced work stations accompanied by fast WLAN internet connection throughout the campus. The institute boasts having spacious and well-ventilated class and laboratory resources furnished with relevant teaching facilities. For the students’ health need, AVIT has arranged indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities for table tennis court, volleyball court, football stadium, a ground for cricket practice session and badminton court along with a complete gymnasium facility. There are also efficient, separate hostels for boys and girls with friendly warden and security measures put in place to offer the students comfortable atmosphere.
In this regard, the programmes offered in AVIT point to adequate academic coverage for different aspects of engineering learning. Over all there are seven courses offered in the institute out of which there are 5 B. Tech full time courses and 2 full time Diploma courses. These B.Tech programmes are as follows: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Besides, AVIT delivers Diploma programmes in Mechanical, and Civil Engineering as well. Every B.Tech programme is so far approved for the intake of 60 students and the Diploma programmes also takes a capacity of 60 students per programme, in sum, taking a large number of intakes in each annual academic year for all the courses offered at the pioneering Institute.

Admissions is another important section of the institute which is aimed towards merit and openness at the AVIT. Organized for B.Tech programs, the institute mainly uses the scores of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, a national level engineering entrance examination. The procedure of admission is slightly different for each course.
