Aero Institute of Technology of Namakkal, is a dedicated education academy situated in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. This affiliated college is located in Akkrapatiyan Palayam, Konniyar, Elachipalayam Post, Tiruchengode Taluk, aims at providing aeronautical education to its students. Recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Aero Institute of Technology offers the diploma programs relevant to the present industrial sector. In particular, the institute has a faculty of 10 members, which allows the maintenance of individual approach to students in their chosen disciplines.

Its purpose is to become a knowledge base that offers students numerous references in aeronautical engineering and aircraft maintenance. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the Aero Institute of Technology  has functional departmental laboratory that simulate practical settings for the students in their area of speciality. Well aware of the significant role of information and communication technology in contemporary learning Aero Institute of Technology has equipped the institution with state of art IT gadgets with an aim at preparing the students to encounter the modern technological tools and gadgets with special reference to the aviation industry.

Aero institute of technology currently has two full time diploma courses, which take three years each to complete. Of which the institute offers a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering and a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Each of these programs also has an approved intake of 30 students for a total annual intake of 60 students for these specialized courses. This limit intake ensures each student gets direct attention how to handle the tough courses in aeronautical studies and necessary resources.
