Akal College of Education, Sangrur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Akal College of education is one of the most renowned institute of education located in Mastuana Sahib, Sangrur which started in 2005. This co education college is an affiliated college of Punjabi University, Patiala and aims at producing future educators. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) the college provides three professional courses in education. Akal College of Education is located in a campus of 200 acres and offers its 205 total enrolled students and a total faculty staff of 14 persons. It has been established that the institute is dedicated to offering quality education in its various programmes such B.Ed , M.Ed and Post Graduate Diploma in Career Guidance.

Akal College of education ensured that students get the best environment that is why the college offers a full range of facilities to support learning. The equipped and much needed Library is established to provided a vast array of learning resources. Sophisticated laboratories are provided for each department to perform practicals, experiments and more research. The college also provides for IT facilities to enable the student to update on advancement in technology in the college. Besides personal development, there are sports facilities and a gym on the territory of the educational establishment. It also pays for the welfare of students through health as there is a health center where first aid services are offered.

Akal College of Education has three full time courses in total, each of which is designed to cope with different level of educations. The B.Ed programme is one of the special focuses of the institute which has an approved capacity of one hundred students for the programme that aims to produce quality teachers. A M.Ed programme which is a masters degree in education is specialised in a direction of education and the second one, a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance prepare students to develop specialised skills in career counseling.
