Akbari Begum College of Education, Lucknow was established in 2015. Hence, it is comparatively a young institution which has spread ideals all around to serve and shape education's future. The affiliated college sprawls its compact 2.5-acre campus on Faizabad Road, opposite BBD, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The effort it put up in the field of teacher education has been really well recognised by NCTE because it has also received approval from them. The total strength of the students here is 223 and has a faculty of 10, so the student-teacher ratio is also in favour to ensure personal attention and quality education. It boasts a number of facilities that aid its students in their learning process.

The library is a place of knowing and provides all the necessary resources to pursue academics. Departmental laboratories provide hands-on practical experience, necessary for the practical understanding of many subjects. Akbari Begum College of Education offers two full-time degree programmes within the two-year Bachelor of Education. The bedrock of the institute's offerings is the B.Ed. This was a programme with an approved intake of 100 seats thus bringing sharply into focus the concentrated interest of the college in the aspect of teacher training.

Akbari Begum College of Education Admission strictly follows merit-based selection procedures. The first merit preference is with the B.Ed course. Selection for admissions is usually made on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or performance in entrance examinations. There is strict adherence by the college to policies made by the state government, the UT administration, and the affiliated university concerning admission.
