Akkihal College, Dharwad located Saptapur, Dharwad, Karnataka was established in 2012 and It affiliated with the Karnataka State. This is a quite young institution, which has been trying to expose itself in the region and in the sphere of education rather actively. The college has an enrolment of 275 students and a faculty of 3; hence it furnishes a confined exposure. Akkihal College currently provides two degree programmes: The three year programmes are Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) and two year programmes Master of Commerce (M.Com) for students willing to do commerce and business careers.

This college has state of the art facilities that have been put in place to complement a student’s course and overall experience. The campus has completely equipped technologically enabled air conditioned class rooms having free Wi-Fi for the students and other facilities. In regard to research as well as for study, the college provides the students with a departmental libraries cum-laboratories. For those who wish to further their education the college has a two-year M.Com programme which provides the interested candidate an opportunity to specialise in a certain field of commerce and management. Both of them take one year to complete and that enables students to concentrate fully on their course of study.
