AKRG College of Pharmacy, Nallajarla, was established in the year 2006. This co-educational, affiliated institution is located in West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. AKRG College of Pharmacy runs a total of 4 courses, all full-time. The institute offers one undergraduate and three postgraduate programmes. There is one undergraduate programme, B. Pharma; and three postgraduate programmes, M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, and Pharmacology. The sanctioned intake of all the programmes together is 105. The approved intake for B.Pharma is 60 students; for the three M.Pharma programmes, there are 15 seats for each specialization. 

Admission to AKRG College of Pharmacy is through a merit-based system. Admissions into the first year of B. Pharma are made based on the rank obtained in AP EAMCET conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State. This ensures admission of only such students who have a good foundation in the subjects relevant for pursuing the course of their choice. The institution accepts scores of GPAT, an institutional-level national entrance test examination for the postgraduate courses for the students seeking admission to the M.Pharma course.

Both for undergraduate studies, the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET), and postgraduate studies, Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) hold major roles for admission to their institutions.

The AP EAMCET, which is organized by the Andhra Pradesh State, is the principal entrance test for admission to AKRG College of Pharmacy's B.Pharma program. The test is usually conducted in May, and the next test is to be conducted on May 18-19, 2025, for the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream. The online test is the main requirement for admission to the undergraduate pharmacy course.

For postgraduate, AKRG College of Pharmacy looks at GPAT scores, an entrance exam on a national level. The courses offered under M.Pharma include Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, and Pharmacology, all with an intake of 15 seats.

Application Process

The application process at AKRG College of Pharmacy differs from one program to another:

For B.Pharma program:

1. Get registered and appear for the AP EAMCET exam.
2. AP EAMCET 2025 exam is on May 18-19, 2025, for the Pharmacy and Agriculture stream.
3. After the exam, wait for the rank and result announcement.
4. Eligible candidates can join the counseling process organized by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
5. During counseling, choose AKRG College of Pharmacy and the B.Pharma program based on your rank and seat availability.
6. If allotted a seat, report to the college for document verification and admission formalities.

For M.Pharma programs:

1. Appear for the GPAT examination.
2. After receiving the GPAT score, apply directly to AKRG College of Pharmacy for the desired M.Pharma specialization.
3. Final admission may also be made with additional selection, like interview, by the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: Admission to the 4-year B.Pharma course of AKRG College of Pharmacy is through rank secured in AP EAMCET. The intake is approved as 60 students. The applicants should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics or Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects for admission.

M.Pharma: AKRG College of Pharmacy provides three M.Pharma specializations: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, and Pharmacology. Intakes for these programs are through GPAT scores. All three specializations have 15 intake seats each. The applicants should have a B.Pharma degree from any recognized university to become eligible for the M.Pharma programs.

Admission documents typically involve:

  • Marks sheets and certificates of 10th and 12th classes
