Aligarh College of Engineering and Technology is one of the top well-known educational institutes established in the year 2001 at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college has approval from AICTE and offers quite a number of undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of engineering and management streams. ACET Aligarh is situated on a sprawling 10-acre campus. Its student enrolment is approved at 712 students and its faculty strength at 91. It offers all kinds of learning environments through its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of engineering, computer applications, and management meeting the dynamic needs of the technical education sector.

In addition, the college offers separate boys' and girls' hostels which would make living comfortable for out-station students. ACET puts emphasis on holistic development through quality indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a gym, and campus facilities enabled by Wi-Fi. It has also maintained a Health Centre with First Aid facilities, canteen, and a transport facility for the convenience of students and staff.

It offers courses ranging from the core engineering discipline to various up-gradation courses for creating manpower in various disciplines. The academic portfolio of ACET includes seven B.Tech programmes: Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Other than the above, the college also offers other postgraduate courses like MBA and MCA, undergraduate courses like BBA, and BCA. Total intake here in the courses is 712. Maximum intake has been in B Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with 120 seats. Such a wide range of programmes covers different specialisations that would suit different forms of career expectations or industrial requirements.

Well, the admission procedure to this institute is well-structured, comprehensive, and merit-based. Candidates will be taken into the first year of the B. Tech programs; the performance of their students in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main or Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). The first preference is given to the students who are eligible as per the requirement of these exams. After that, their admissions are done based on the merit obtained in the qualifying examination as per the AICTE guidelines. CAT, and MAT scores are accepted by the college for admission to the MBA course; in MCA, the college takes admission based mainly on the  score. The institute also offers lateral entry options for B.Tech programs wherein admission may be made on the basis of the UPSEE score or merit in the qualifying examination with at least 45% marks (40% in the case of SC/ST candidates).
