The Aligarh Teacher’s Training College, Aligarh, was founded in the year 2005 and it is counted among those premier institutes that prepare future teachers. The Aligarh Teacher’s Training College has two full time courses for the teacher education program. Another course is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which is offered with hundred seats and aims with achieving the competency required to become a teacher of secondary and higher secondary standard. The 50–seat Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) provides training for teachers in primary education. The length of the programs is two years, in which general theoretical information and pedagogical skills of teaching are given. The college has 150 students’ intake in total to ensure it produces as many qualified teachers as it can each year.
