All India Institue of Hygiene and Public Health (AIIHPH), Kolkata is an institute dealing with teaching, training and research in the public health sphere. AIIHPH offers a variety of postgrad diplomas pertaining to public health. The institute was established in 1932, making it the first such institute in Southeast Asia. AIIHPH deals with a diverse range of disciplines, like Biochemistry, Occupational health, Public health administration, Public Health Nursing, Microbiology, Mother and Child Health and many more. AIIHPH courses are of two types, courses recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and courses recognized by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). They also offer short courses and training programmes specifically for different categories and groups.

AIIHPH offers a total of 12 courses including M.Sc (Applied Nutrition), Diploma in Dietetics, Master of Engineering (Public Health (Epidemiology), MD (Community Medicine) and many more. . The eligibility requirements differ across courses. AIIHPH facilities include a hostel and a library. AIIHPH training and research are supported by their field labs, Urban Health Centre, Chetla and Rural Health Unit and Training Unit, Singur. Multiple research papers on the subject of Public health are published in notable journals by both faculty and students every year.

There are two AIIHPH campuses. The main campus is located at 110 Chittaranjan Avenue Kolkata, West Bengal. The main campus is located 500m away from the Central metro station on the blue line of the Kolkata metro. The nearest railway station is Howrah station, situated roughly 4.5 kilometres away. The AIIHPH Main campus is located approximately 14 km from Netaji Subash Chandra Bose International Airport.  Another campus, known as the B N campus, is located almost 7 kilometres away from the main campus.  The B N campus is located at JC 27 and JC 27 B, Sector III, Salt Lake.

The B N campus is 1.7 km away from the Salt Lake Stadium Metro station on the green line of the Kolkata Metro. This campus is situated 6.2 kilometres from Sealdah railway station, which is the closest railway station. It is located 11 kilometres from Howrah railway station. The B N campus is 13 kilometres away from Netaji Subash Chandra Bose International Airport.
