The Alpha Institute of Architecture Studies, Gandhinagar was established in 2016 as a young institution in Gujarat, India, ushering in architectural education. It is located at Khatraj, Kalol district of Gandhinagar. This institute caters for the branch of architecture with an enrolment of 45 students and reservations in the approved manner set by the law. It caters to an intimate learning environment for the student who aspires to be an architect

With a view to the development and growth of its students academically and personally, the Alpha Institute of Architecture Studies provides various facilities on campus. The library also forms one of the major resource centres providing access to architectural literature and various reference books to the students. These theoretical concepts have practical applications in the departmental laboratories to supplement the learning experience of students. An auditorium is also contained in the institute, wherein many seminars, events, and presentations are carried out. Added to that is the culture of sharing knowledge and professional development. For refreshments and socialisation, there is a cafeteria open to all students on campus for comfort and leisure activities. The institute has made greater investment in good IT infrastructure, facilitating the students with the best technology and software relevant to the architectural studies. An added bonus to that, the college also provides sports facilities to instil in the student community physical well-being and group spirit.

At present, Alpha Institute of Architecture Studies conducts a programme leading to Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch), which forms its flagship Degree course. This is an undergraduate five-year course that aims at making students knowledgeable with the basic principles of architecture with design methodologies and practical skills of the subject. 

Alpha Institute of Architecture Studies, has generally based their pattern of admission on the National Aptitude Test in Architecture scores. NATA is standardised test meant to be taken as a measure of the candidate's aptitude for taking up the architectural course of study.
