Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur (ACAS), it is a growing educational institution started in the year 2005. This affiliated college is situated in Malappuram District of Kerala and the college is spread in a 25 acre campus. Its credibility is well demonstrated by its membership to and accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college has 14 different courses within eight degree programmes and a total number of enroled students equals 1,004 students. ACAS has a faculty strength of 31 which shows that it still has a correct student teacher ratio. From the records, the college population has equal distribution of the genders, with 441 male students, and 595 female students, thus a reasonably liberal learning institution.

ACAS offer a variety of services that majored to improve students learning environment of its students. The college library has a stock of 6,500 books, 82 CDs, 13 student manuscripts, 39 periodicals and 11 newspapers subscription. The IT infrastructure comprises of computer laboratories with desks, LCD projectors, audio systems, printers and scanners. To start with, the sports fan can participate in any of the following sporting activities; cricket football, badminton, athletic among others. There is also a canteen where students can get affordable and healthy foods besides there is a cooperative store together with a health club with the necessary exercise equipment. Also, it has a WI-FI facility, an auditorium for conducting events & seminars, First Aid the health center facilities.

ACAS provides a full programme of 11 full-time undergraduate programmes, 1 postgraduate programme, and 2 doctoral programmes. Academic disciplines offered by the college include Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, English, Psychology, Computer Science, Hotel Management and Logistics Management. The total approved intake capacity for all programmes is 508, while the maximum sanctioned intake is 60 for B.Com Computer Applications. The college also runs newer and more diverse programmes such as B.Voc in Logistics Management, Hotel Management and Mobile Application Development passing through 50 students each.

The general practice at ACAS is to enrol students through the basic standard of at least passing your exams. To admit a student the college may take into account his or her performance in the qualifying examinations as well as follow the rules of the affiliating university.
