MA English Literature at Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri Offline Course

Master of Arts (M.A) in English Literature is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

The MA programme in English Language and Literature is created to provide students with a well-rounded education that is the ideal balance of theory and practice. The Program seeks to give students a solid foundation in all recognized English literary canons that fall under the curriculum’s jurisdiction. It adheres to the choice-based credit system that the university regulations, which are based on the requirements of the UGC Regulations, have envisioned. Over the course of four semesters, the programme offers a mix of Core and Elective courses. Both core and elective courses offer credit opportunities for the students. Indian Writing in English, New Literatures, Introduction to Literary Criticism, Shakespeare Studies, History of English Literature, Indian Aesthetics, and other topics are covered in the core courses.
