Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri was started in the year 2003 and is a constituent college situated in Amritapuri, Kollakom, Kerala. It is a co-educational institution providing for a broad spectrum of programmes in different areas of specialisation; these courses include 11 and the degree offers 7. The school has hired 76 committed educators with competent skill levels required to offer a good standard of education and adequate individual attention for the students. 

Amrita School of Arts and Sciences boasts of well equipped facilities that can enable it meet the need of the students enrolled in the institution. Facilities such as laboratory, library, classrooms etc are well endowed for the purposes of academic achievement. In relation to the needs of physical health of students there are provided such sport sections as gymnasium and different sport complexes for badminton, basketball, cricket and football fields. It also has infraction facilities for male and female students to accommodate more than 90 percent of the population of the students in the college. 

Amrita School of Arts and Sciences provides the following programmes of study, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral. The institute offers eleven full-time courses in areas like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental sciences, English literature, Commerce and Business administration. These programmes are intended to meet learners’ learning needs based on their academic intensions, and career goals. 

Admission process in Amrita School of Arts and Sciences is planned very scientifically to choose the talented students only. In most courses, you get chosen through entrance tests or an interview. Whereas some programmes need the candidates to pass an entrance examination, such as M.Sc Chemistry and M.Sc Physics; and some programmes consider the accumulated marks of the qualifying examination along with interview such as MA English Literature. The M. Com Finance and Systems programme only uses an interview as a basis in the selection process.
