Amrity College of Education, Malda: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Located in the serene village of G.Kamat, Malda, West Bengal, this co-educational institution, Amrity College of Education, has started working since 2014 with the aim of developing future teachers. This affiliated college has been granted approval from the National Council for Teacher Education. Spread over a compact 1-acre campus, Amrity College offers two specialized courses in education, accommodating a total student enrolment of 200. With a faculty strength of 10 experienced educators, the college has managed to maintain an intimate learning atmosphere where closer interaction between students and teachers could be achieved.

Facilities provided in the college aim toward enhancing the learning environment and overall development of its students. It provides facilities for a well-stocked library, acting as an information center, and different types of knowledge bases will help the futuristic teacher. For the physically inclined, there are sports facilities to help in enjoying a healthy relationship between academics and play. There is also, for promoting health, a health centre offering first-aid services within the college. Departmental laboratories are equipped with modern tools and technologies that would aid practical learning. Along with a bright cafeteria that provides an area to rest and chat, is an auditorium that presents numerous functions and workshops, enhancing college life.

Amrity College of Education works under two main programs in the field of education. It offers a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) and D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education), both designed as full-time, two-year courses. 

The admission procedure to Amrity College of Education is based on merit in accordance with the policies prescribed by the state government and affiliated university. Admissions for the B.Ed program will be made on the basis of merits in the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process as prescribed by the state government or U.T. Administration. The admission process to D.El.Ed. is also merit-based, based on the qualifying examination or entrance examination marks taken in pursuance of the policy of the State Government. In other words, this kind of admission will give a chance to meritorious students to fulfill their dream of becoming a teacher.
