Annai Mathammal Sheela College of Education, Erumapatty: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Annai Mathammal Sheela College of Education, Erumapatty started in the year 2005 is an affiliated college functioning in Namakkal District of Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated and accredited with NAAC and also approved by NCTE recognised by the Government and National Council for Teacher Education. The college is located on 5.84 acres of land and has in total 193 students enroled in two education-focused programs. It currently employs 15 experienced teachers to meet the needed student to teacher ratio.

It is important also to note that the college has many facilities for learning that aim at improving the learning and development of the student. The students’ accommodation include separate hostels for boys and girls within spacious, well-ventilated rooms fitted with own computers. The institution, under the direction of a professionally trained librarian, possesses current popular, fiction, scientific, technical, and educational books and magasines including; children’s development and educational psychology. Technology is incorporated in the college by having it in its infrastructure as a means of possessing an 8 Mbps leased line internet connection and having LAN and Access connectivity throughout the institution.

The Annai Mathammal Sheela College of Education currently facilities two full time programs in education. With regard to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program, 100 seats have been set, and for the Master of Education (M.Ed) program, 50 seats have been established, making a total of 150 seats in both courses. These programs are intended to produce professional teachers as well as leaders in education and teaching.

Annai Mathammal Sheela College of Education does not require any entrance examination but follows mark acquired in qualifying examination. For B.ED admission is done according to the policies laid down by the state government/UT Administration and the university to which the college is affiliated. In the same way the M.Ed programme also awards the students on the merit basis the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or marks obtained in entrance test or any other test conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Government/University.
