Ansaldo College of Education, Tiruvannamalai, started in the year 2005, is an affiliated college offering teacher education courses. Spread over a 10.7 acres, it was established in Maruthuvampadi, Chetpet, Tamil Nadu. It is NAAC accredited and recognised by the NCTE which assure quality education standards. Ansaldo College of Education, with a total enrollment of 138 students, has 16 faculties. At present, the institution offers only one programme, that is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with an approved intake capacity of 100 seats meeting the demand of future teachers in the region.

Ansaldo College of Education offers a variety of infrastructural facilities that improve the learning environment and accelerate the personal development of the students. The library is equipped with adequate number of books of national and international publications to meet the demands of the students’ academics. For practical learning, the following laboratories are available in the institution: Computer, Biological,Psychology, Education Technology and Language laboratories. The college also puts importance to health and recreation by promoting sports facilities for volleyball, foo ball, basketball, kabbadi, hand ball, and ball badminton as well as gym for students. An auditorium is used to support and promote social aspects of campus cultural life.

Ansaldo College of Education is a college that is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai, offers only the full-time B.Ed programme that takes two academic years to complete. For this reason, the approach helps the institution to channel all its resources and focus in making sure that it brings out well-trained educators. The allotted intake for this college is 100 for B.Ed, a figure shows the college’s potential to prepare a large number of prospective teachers annually. 

The applicants to Ansaldo College of Education are admitted strictly on merit, and both co curricular activities and extra curricular activities are considered. The potential learners have to meet all norms as dictated by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, which oversees the B.Ed programme.
