Antony B Ed College, Murshidabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Antony B.Ed. College was set up initially in the year 2013 at Sagarpara, Murshidabad, West Bengal and was an affiliated institution. This institution is a co-educational one solely for teacher education. There are two full-time courses offered by the institution, which include Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education. At its inception, this institution was affiliated with NCTE and had a compact campus of 0.96 acres. With a total student enrolment of 393 and faculty strength of 32.

The institution has a number of facilities to enrich the learning process of its students. There is a well-stocked library that will act as the knowledge hub of the institution. This will be further supported by subject-based laboratories that permit hands-on learning. Wi-Fi connectivity and modern IT infrastructure provide students with the facility to stay connected and access e-resources. Antony B.Ed. College presently has two fully fledged teacher training programs. Both the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. are full-time courses, each two- years -long. The college has an equal division of seats, totaling to 200 seats across both courses. This balanced approach ensures that due and focused attention is given to primary and secondary education training.

The admissions at Antony B.Ed. College are in accordance with the guidelines given by the state government and affiliated university. In B.Ed., admission is granted on merit in accordance with marks obtained in the qualifying exam and/or entrance exam. In D.El.Ed. also, admission is done purely on merit following the policies prescribed by the state government.
