Anvarul Islam Women’s Arabic College, Mongam, Malappuram, Kerala was started in the year 1968, and it is an affiliated College. The institution is located on a 10.5 acres of land and its main objective is to educate women. The college is affiliated to the University of Mysore and approved by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the college provides the under graduate and post graduate programme. Thus, the college offers an excellent student-teacher ratio; the college has 328 students, and 20 teaching faculty members. The institution currently runs 5 courses in 3 degree programs focusing on Arabic language, Economics with Islamic finance and doctoral programs.

The college has a host of amenities that enables students within the college to learn and develop adequately. library resources consist of 5,355 books such as textbooks and references, 29 periodicals and assorted audio-visual collections. One of its facilities is a modern computer class with fifty computers which allow students to develop basic IT competencies. Some of the sporting amenities are the football and the shuttle and are useful for health improvement, in addition to acknowledging academia. The college also has a girl’s hostel which accommodate one hundred and fifty students for those who come from remote area.

Anvarul Islam Women’s Arabic College consist of five courses out of which all are full time course. These are three undergraduate courses, one postgraduate course and a doctoral programme. At undergraduate level, the programmes offered are BA Afzal Ul Ulama, BA Functional Arabic and BA Economics with Islamic Finance, all of which take 3 years to complete. MA Afzal Ul Ulama is a two years postgraduate programme. Besides, the college provides a Ph.D. in Arabic which may take a candidate 6 years to complete. 

Reservation policy of the Anvarul Islam Women’s Arabic College admissions, is in accordance with the government rules and regulations as well as the rules and regulations of the university to which college is affiliated. As for the programmes of postgraduation such as MA Afzal Ul Ulama the provisional norms of selection and seat reservation are in conformity with the norms framed by the government and the University.
