APB Government Post Graduate College, Agastyamuni was established in 1974 at Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand. The college offers postgraduate courses in MA in Hindi, English, Economics, Political Science, History, and Geography and in M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and Mathematics. The college also runs professional courses such as B.Ed Self Finance and multiple diploma programmes, which include Tourism, Nursery Technology and Orchard Management, and PGDCA. The intake of students in the case of B.Ed Self Finance is 100, and for the Diploma in Tourism, it is 15. The admission process in APB Government Post Graduate College is governed mainly by the rules and regulations framed by Sri Dev Suman University, Badshahithaul, Tehri Garhwal.
Admission to most postgraduate courses will be made on the basis of university guidelines for MA and M.Sc courses, in general. The B.Ed Self Finance course and diploma courses in Tourism and in Nursery Technology and Orchard Management will have merit-based admission.
