Apollo College of Education, Durg: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

One of the leading institutions of teacher education in Chhattisgarh, India, Apollo College of Education, came into existence in the year 2005 in Durg. It is situated opposite Veterinary College in Anjora, Durg. Besides, this affiliated college is approved by NCTE. The campus receives a vast area of 6.5 acres, with a current total enrolment of 417 students. This 28-member faculty is now committed to three full-time courses of education under its repertoire: B.Ed, M.Ed, D.El.Ed. Apollo College of Education aims to shape the future of educators. 

The programmes over here are very holistic in detail, and the students are equipped with all modern amenities. At the institute, the range of facilities is unlimited and beneficial to all students. The college has hostel facilities for both boys and girls, accommodating well-furnished living spaces so that students easily spend their time far away from their homes, coming from different parts of the country. There is a well-stocked library that is a hub of knowledge: books are totally indispensable for educational research and study. The college is also equipped with properly furnished laboratories to assist practical learning. There is an auditorium that helps to organise various functions and seminars, creating conditions for a diverse academic environment. Other facilities in the campus include a cafeteria, a health centre with first-aid facilities, and excellent IT infrastructure for the comfort of the students; indoor and outdoor sports facilities for the sports enthusiasts are also provided. Apollo College of Education runs three full-time courses, all relating to the education of teachers. All programmes cater to different levels in the system of education, from the elementary to higher education. The sanctioned intake of students in the institution for all its courses is 250. For B.Ed and D.El.Ed, 100 intake capacities are there, and 50 for M.Ed—it is the duration of a two-year course, in which all courses face toward or includes comprehensive training.

The admission process at Apollo College of Education is merit-based, aligning with the policies set by the state government, university, and UT administration. For the B.Ed course, the admission is based on the marks obtained by the student at the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The pattern followed for admission to M.Ed and D.El.Ed. courses is also similar. Admission is granted based on the merit of the candidates at the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process as per policy rulings.
