The Arunai Engineering College was started in the year 1993 and situated in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college with a vast 25 acre campus received national accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Presently, AEC has total of 1579 students and an academic staff of 198. The institute currently offers 20 courses which are spread over three different degrees. 

AEC offers all round facilities to enable students have a good and focused learning experience. The hostels are also available for both male and female students and the entire compound is secure to enhance the comfort of the students. College Library: College Library: Library, spacious building with 1,260 Sq. ft., consisting of 40, 385 volumes of text books, reference text books, national & International Journals. It remains accessible to students and staff from 8:from 00 Am to 8:00 PM of each working day. IT infrastructure of the proposed institute is sound it has nearly 1,077 computers through LAN and Wi-Fi signal at various corners of the campus offers twenty mega bit per second internet balance. Concerning health and wellness, AEC has a health centre complete with inpatient rooms for both male and female students; providing care with the service of a medical officer and health care assistant.

Arunai Engineering College provides a broad range of programmes to its students covering more or less the entire range of undergraduate engineering programmes. This institute offers 17 courses where 13 of them are undergraduate courses and the other 7 are postgraduate courses. Undergraduate programmes are comprehensive full-time programmes that take four years to complete, while post graduate courses take about two years.
