Ashok and Rita Patel Institute of Integrated Study and Research in Biotechnology and Allied Sciences, briefly referred to as ARIBAS, was founded in 2005 as a leading educational institution located in Anand, Gujarat. This is a constituent college that imparts professional and specialised programs in Biotechnology and Allied Sciences. With a campus area of 4 acres, it provides an environment conducive to academic pursuits. With 336 students enrolled, ARIBAS has a faculty of 18, ensuring a good student-to-teacher ratio for individual attention and quality education.

Ashok and Rita Patel Institute of Integrated Study and Research in Biotechnology and Allied Sciences has exceptionally good facilities at its command to back the academic programs offered. Laboratories in this institution are well equipped with modern infrastructural facilities for teaching and research in areas such as Molecular Biology, Analytical Biotechnology, Microbial Genetics, and Plant and Animal Tissue Culture. The library is well-stocked with more than 5,000 books, periodicals, and scientific journals serving technical and management-related subjects. Students are provided access to a fully functional IT infrastructure of more than 130 computers and Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus that allows the use of e-resources for better learning. 

This institute offers courses to students in a wide variety; there are 17 programmes in total, distributed between two-degree levels. These range from postgraduate and doctoral programs, all of which represent full-time courses. Among the postgraduate programmes are M.Sc. in Integrated Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Applied Genetics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Forensic Science, Integrated Biomedical Science, Botany, and Zoology. For the research-minded, ARIBAS has on offer a Ph.D. course with different specialisations, such as Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Medical Biotechnology and Genetics, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Botany. 

The admission process at ARIBAS takes into account academic performance in the previous qualifying examinations and probably conducts entrance tests or interviews. The institute is co-educational with a mixed student body; at the postgraduate level, there are 26% male and 74% female students.
