Aspee Shakilam Agricultural Biotechnology Institute, Surat: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Aspee Shakilam Agricultural Biotechnology Institute is self-funded and began in 2012 on a campus that sits on 35 acres. This affiliate college has 140 students and 16 faculty members. The institute is co-educational, admitting boys as well as girls.

The campus is fully furnished with all modern amenities, making the learning experiences of the students enriching. The laboratories are well-equipped, and there are specialized laboratories for molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, bioinformatics, and plant tissue culture and genetic transformation. All these laboratories are well equipped with the latest equipment so that the students can get hands-on knowledge about current biotechnology techniques. There also exists a well-stocked library that caters to all requirements of the students, in terms of materials needed for academics. In hostels, boys and girls' facility is also included with absolutely every facility such as a cooler, TV room, dining hall, etc.

The institute currently offers an undergraduate academic programme that has only one full-time course, that being B.Tech in Biotechnology. This four year's undergraduate program will give the student a strong base in agricultural biotechnology and prepare oneself for a career in this fast-changing field. 

Admission to the B.Tech Biotechnology course at Aspee Shakilam Agricultural Biotechnology Institute is on merit with respect to academic performance on relevant subjects and entrance examination marks.
