ASRA College of Education, Sangrur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

ASRA College of Education, Sangrur, is an affiliated college founded in 2010 in Bhawanigarh, Punjab. The institute is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and provides three aggregate complete time course in educating. ASRA College of Education is spread on an area of 0.86 acres and the college has 191 students and 16 faculty members. 

ASRA College of Education has many facilities to boasts about, which include learning and development facilities. An air-conditioned hall contains national and international journals, magazines apart from e-library resources. As for physical activities the campus has yard for outdoor activities and indoor facilities for both volleyball, football, and basketball equipments are available. The college's computer lab has premier hardware and legally acquired operating system and applications from Microsoft and Hewlett Packard respectively. A hall that has the ability to hold two hundred people is used for conferences, and interactions with colleges. Students as well as the staff is transported within areas within a distance of up to 60 kilometers. It also has some departmental laboratories, boys and girls hostels, health centre and first aid facilities, a gym, and a canteen. There are connections to the internet throughout the campus to make sure students can get resources within the internet.

ASRA College of Education provides only three full time courses, all of which include elements of education and teacher training. The enrolment totals of the institute is 175 which cut across all the programmes offered in the institute. The B.Ed programme being the mainstay of the college has the highest intake with hundred approved seats. This is followed by the D.El.Ed programme 50 seats are available and the MA Education has 25 seats available.

The admission procedure of ASRA College of Education focuses largely on merit for all courses especially for the B.Ed. The marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination test are also taken into account by the college.
