Maharshree Vishwamitra Autonomous State Medical College: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

AASC, Ghazipur or Maharshree Vishwamitra Autonomous State Medical College is a young medical college established in 2021. This co-educational medical college is situated in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and it is affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Uttar Pradesh Medical Education University, Lucknow; and is approved by NMC. The college currently has only one program of study: the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme, which has a certified student admission capacity of one hundred (100) students. Despite the college’s inceptions, it is gradually developing its faculty; at present the college has hired 5 workers. 

The college’s current development is to continue offering students necessary facilities for their medical training. TheUpscaleITinfrastructure at Autonomous State Medical College has been stated as great enabling the students to use modern technological tools relevant in modern medical education. The college also has a library which is important for a medical student to obtain various related literature and research database. Further, most of the institution’s departments has laboratories, to provide the students practical experience in different medical specialties which is central to their internship. 

At present, Autonomous State Medical College, Ghazipur only has one course to provide, which is the MBBS course. This is a full course programme of study that takes 6 years to complete, preparing Medical doctors for the country. The college has an approved capacity of admitting 100 students to this program to show its capacity in training more medical personnel annually. Currently the college follows the admission standard of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS program.

This is a national examination through which all prospective students wishing to study at this institution must begin by seating for this test.
