AVC College, Mayiladuthurai: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

AVC College, Mayiladuthurai was started in 1955 and is an autonomous College affiliated to Bharathidasan University. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, a Co-Education College situated in Mannampandal, Nagapattinam District, Tamil Nadu is spread over sixty five acres of land. This college has also secured accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which shows the college’s desire to providing quality education. Spread across the Syangja district, AVC College currently has total of 5,034 students and faculty of 254 members, teaching 75 courses in 10 degree programmes. Yemen Women Studies Institute with good gender diversity: 55% female students in undergraduate programmes and 66% in postgraduate programmes.

Several amenities are offered by AVC College to help the students academically and socially develop. The library’s boasts of 88, 267 books and 162 publications among them being national and international journals. There are two hostels for the students, one is for boys with a capacity of 250 and one for girls of a capacity of 200. The campus has laboratories for most departments, sport complex with a gymnasium, and a clinic to treat minor injuries. There are infrastructures in information technology and transport facilities to facilitate the needs of learners. There is also an Indian Bank campus, in addition to providing facilities for the staff of the college. A training and placement cell works with the training of improving skill of the students to make them employable and aim at providing 100% placements for those who are interested.

This institution has prepared a diverse list of programmes that learners can undertake as per their areas of interest. The institute currently offers 75 courses at Undergraduate, Post Graduate, M.Phil and Ph.D. levels, and also the full time & part time. The course that the college provides for includes Arts, Commerce, Science, and Computer application. 

Through the admission process of AVC College, the institution admits students with equal opportunity and depending on their performance. The institute provides different under graduate and post graduate programe with the condition that they have to qualify a particular examination. For the research programs such as M.Phil and Ph.D the college may set exams and interviews.
