Azad College of Engineering and Technology of Hyderabad was started in 2004 with affiliation to Osmania University and the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This institution is located in Moinabad of Greater Hyderabad and has been establishing the frameworks of education for the past nineteen years. The college has cut a niche for its self in offering a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in most of the engineering fields. Currently, the college has 75 committed academicians on its faculty roster and is in a mission to promote excellence in technical education among students willing to take up engineering courses.

The college has a wide complement of equipment that is intended to improve the college learning environment for students. The hub of these facilities is compiled by a library which is home to over ten thousand books, recommended and reference copies in various fields of learning. The library also buy national and international magazines and journals, in order to ensure that students are up to date with the current events as well as the curriculum. One of the best is e-library – a division that is a complete virtual library for students, which allows accessing millions of different educational materials in the form of e-books, journals, research papers, and business sources. 

This digital initiative opens a wider array of learning among the students and researchers in a very big way. The college also boasts of having a solid Information Technology framework, so that students would be ready to meet the technological in engineering. In order to enhance practical aspect, the institution organises well equipped laboratories regarding the departments they belong to. Feeling the need of a well rounded education. Azad College of Engineering and Technology also provides sports amenities so that students don’t over emphasise on there books and also be physically fit. As a means of enhancing an effective communication without necessarily using cash, the college offers transport services to students and staff.

Azad College of Engineering and Technology has 11 programs in total with the course levels being B.Tech and M.Tech. Currently we offer Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and the newly admitted Artificial Intelligence and Data Science stream in B.Tech. The college offers Masters of Technology at postgraduate level in Computer Science and engineering, VLSI and embedded systems, heat ventilation and air conditioning, thermal engineering and Structural engineering. All these program are full time courses that are aimed at offering the needed depth in knowledge and skills in the fields of study.

Admission criteria at Azad College of Engineering and Technology is mainly conducted on the foundation of the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). This test is conducted at state level and is a gateway to all the students who are hoping to get admission in the undergraduate engineering courses in the Telangana state. In the case of postgraduate admissions, it take the scores of national level entrance tests like GATE as well as the performance of the candidate in their graduation course.
