Azad Hind Fouz Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Howrah: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Azad Hind Fouz Smriti Mahavidyalaya, established in 1986, is an affiliated rural college in Howrah, West Bengal. Situated on Howrah-Amta Road in Domjur, the institution offers various undergraduate courses. It has a total student enrolment of 1274 with a gender ratio of 32% male to 68% female students. The faculty consists of 11 dedicated educators who guide the students in 12 courses spread over 4 degree programs. These include Bengali, History, Education, English, Political Science, Geography, Philosophy, Sanskrit, and Arabic. These streams would hence accommodate the different academic interests of students.

There are also various facilities to support the students in their learning. The library is one of them. With huge collections of books, it functions as a service reservoir or knowledge hub, managed by dedicated library staff. Geography students, on the other hand, have a fully computerized GIS Unit in the renovated laboratory. Azad Hind Fouz Smriti Mahavidyalaya, also provides a separate computer laboratory for B.Com students so that they get hands-on practice, which is very important in this field. Other facilities, such as bus concessions, are available for easy commutation. Regarding their health, the college is attached to the Students' Health Home scheme, under which they can get the best medical facilities and specialized treatment by paying an annual subscription fee. Sports enthusiasts can also take part in various athletic facilities or work out in the gym. It also features a canteen that provides a sort of resting ground where students and staff can relax and recharge their energies.

The college, Azad Hind Fouz Smriti Mahavidyalaya, offers a total of 12 undergraduate courses, and all of these are full-time based. All the courses are only available across three disciplines: Arts, Commerce, and Science.  The institution mainly aims at imparting quality education in humanities, social sciences, and commerce with an emphasis on languages and liberal arts.
