B.Ed. Teacher Training College, Khagaria was started in the year 2009 as a co-educational institute of professional education. This is an affiliated college working under the approval of the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE. The campus is available on 0.75 acres, with an enrolment of 175 students and a faculty of 31 experienced and learned teachers.

The institution has several facilities to enhance the learning of prospective teachers. Among these is a well-stocked library with various textbooks and reference materials, education encyclopedias, yearbooks, electronic publications, and journals, etc., The B.Ed. Teacher Training College does maintain laboratories for Science, Psychology, Health Education, Physiology, and Anatomy with the necessary apparatus for education-related experiments. The hostels in the college are separate for boys and girls among students who need accommodation. The rooms are comfortable, having a 24-hour water supply and electricity to ensure a good atmosphere for study and rest. The sports facility comprises a playground for outdoor games and indoor game fields. Yoga classes are also provided for the all-round development of students. 

B.Ed. Teacher Training College offers two main courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). While the B.Ed. course would prepare students for teaching at secondary and higher secondary levels, the D.El.Ed. would orient those at the primary and upper primary level teachers. These full-time regular courses are oriented to provide the students with sufficient training in pedagogy, child psychology, and education methodologies so that she/he becomes well-equipped with skills of teaching in any reputed educational institution.
