36 MonthsBachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering Lateral Entry is a three-year full-time undergraduate program offered by the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
Admission Details
There are 20% seats, as under, in each B.Tech. Program for admission of diploma holder to 2nd year/ 3 semester. The admission to 2/3 seats will be made by the Punjab Technical University on the basis of the Lateral Entry Engineering Test conducted by it. The 1/3% Management Quota seats shall be filled in accordance with the criteria, as laid down by PTU. For detailed information candidates must refer to the LEET Information Brochure of PTU.
