Baba Jay Gurudev Smrati Mahavidyalaya, Ambedkar Nagar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Baba Jay Gurudev Smrati Mahavidyalaya, an affiliated college, was set up in 2015 in the region of Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. It is a co-educational institution located at the village Goparichandpur consists of compact area of land is 1.015 acre of total area. It is affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the quality education in the teaching field. Located in Midlothian, the college caters for 597 students and has a faculty of 16 teachers making it a college of its size which is focused. At the present time, the institute provides only one programme of study and that is in the area of teacher education. 

Baba Jay Gurudev Smrati Mahavidyalaya has the facilities that have been established so as to improve the face value of the college and also improve the course offering. Having a good number of books provides knowledge station for students as well as members of the faculty. It has got departmental laboratories which we believe can facilitate practical learning on the campus. For those who are interested in more physical type activities, there is a college sports complex and a gym. There is an auditorium on the facility where people hold events and seminars to help in improving the academic ambiance. It also maintains the health of a student with a health centre that will offer first aid services. Since most students are now knowledgeable about the advancement in the digital world, the institution has developed sufficient IT facilities to meet the demands of the community. The students and other staff are provided with meals by a cafeteria within the compound and also, has a guest room for those that may wish to spend the night. 

Among the courses, Baba Jay Gurudev Smrati Mahavidyalaya acknowledges only one full time course that is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course. This two-year course has approved intakes of 200 students in line with the College’s mission indications of being a teacher educator college. The B.Ed programme is one that is aggressively structured to make sure that the learners have the best skills that will allow them fit well in the education sector. 

The admission structure of this school, however, is that students are admitted for each level based on the marks that they score in their respective qualifying examination or the entrance examination. The college admits student based on policy formulated by the state government of Uttar Pradesh and the university to which it is affiliated.
