The Babu Banarasi Das College of Dental Sciences, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was established in the year 2000. One of the prime dental institutions in Lucknow, it is a constituent college under the aegis of the DCI, spread over an area of 4.05 acres of land. It has become very recognised through the years in its commitment to dentistry education and offers undergraduate and graduate courses in dentistry. It has completed faculty strength of 119 teaching experts capable of providing sound and quality education and guidance to future dentists. The BBDCODS lays emphasis on comprehensive training in dentistry by imparting 10 courses at 2 degree levels with numerous sub disciplines of the same. 

The facilities in the college are state-of-the-art and guarantee maximum support for the overall development of the students. BBDCODS runs separate hostel buildings for boys and girls so that out-station students can have a comfortable stay. The hostel facilities help the out-station students to have a comfortable living environment. BBDCODS offers wide-ranging courses in dentistry to suit all career aspirations. The college offers one undergraduate course in the form of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and nine postgraduate programmes in various dental specialisations. All the courses are designed in full-time form, thereby ensuring the students receive intensive training along with practical experience.

Admissions in undergraduate BDS shall be on the basis of NEET-UG, which is an all-India test meant for admission into undergraduate candidates pursuing medical and dental education in India. The college accepts the scores from the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for MDS, NEET MDS, for admissions in the postgraduate MDS programmes.
