Balasore School of Engineering (BSE) was set up in the year 1998, is one of the leading technical institute situated at Balasore, Odisha. This is affiliated college approved by AICTE and is helping the budding engineers for the past 20 years. Located at a vast 5 acre of land, BSE features a proper environment much needed for learning and development. The institute of Tribal Culture presently has a total student enrolment of 1200 students and a faculty population of 41 members yet the institute occupies a humane approach towards each student in terms of quality education.

Public relations S: BSE boasts in providing a number of services which improve academic experience. The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls to ensure adequate living space for out station students. A modern library is the source of reading materials and a knowledge resource center and sophisticated laboratories fulfill practical learning requirements. Just like other aspects of development, the institute has embraced and fostered its sports facilities and an auditorium for cultural performance. Some of the amenities include; Internet, cafeteria services, and even transport services since the students are of college going age. Health center is equipped with first aid that increases and maintains the health standards of the campus. To the visiting faculty and the families of students, BSE provides guestroom facilities in its into business.

The institute provides all types of diploma courses to all branches of engineering. As of now BSE offers five diploma projects each of three years’ duration full time courses ITI Diploma in Civil Construction and Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology and Automobile Technology. Such programmes include Diploma in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Admission Process According to Degrees

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: This course has a total strength of 120 approved seats. As per the pattern for admission through e-Counseling under SAMS after completing the 10th examination, students can select either a 3-year diploma or 2-year later entry.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: Similar to Electrical, this course takes in 120 seats and the admission procedure remains the same. Based on the performance in the 10th standard, candidates are selected through e-Counseling in the SAMS portal.

Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: This program has a total of 90 seats with a standard admission process through the e-Counseling SAMS portal. Candidates with a 10th standard can apply for a full 3-year course or for a 2-year lateral entry.

Diploma in Civil Engineering: This program is of 60 seats and makes utilization of the sams portal for the e-counseling and admissions. The eligibility criteria and admission procedures would remain similar to those enlisted for other diploma programs in BSE.

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: This program has an intake of 30 seats. The admission procedure is like those of the other diploma programs, requiring 10th standard completion and entrance to the SAMS e-Counseling process.
