Balawan College, Ri Bhoi founded in 2009 is an affiliated ISO College in Umsing, Dist; Ri Bhoi Meghalaya. This is an amalgam co-educational institution which avails a number of programs of undergraduate level in the humanities. The college has a blend of 210 student enrollment and 17 members of teaching faculties that make up its small intimate class. Read together is a co-educational college offering 11 courses in two degree programmes with major disciplines in English, Khasi, Education, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and History. 

Balawan College always aims at offering student accommodation and services to ensure that student get the best out of there college experience. It has its own facilities for hostel for boys and girls and therefore is able to provide comfortable accommodation for students from various part of the country.
