Balwanta Devi Jagatpal College of Education, situated in Ambedkar Nagar of Uttar Pradesh, is a committed institution for teacher education. It is an affiliated college that was started in the year 2015 and has been shaping the future educators for almost 9 years. Covering a total area of 0.9711 acres, the college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for providing standard education in teaching practices. This college admits an aggregate of 200 students and has a qualified faculty of 16 instructors thereby, providing a proper student-instructor ratio. 

Balwanta Devi Jagatpal College of Education has many facilities that are helpful aid to the education of students in the college. A well furnished and well aerated library is provided as information centre to fulfill all information regarding education and other subjects and contains a variety of books, journals and magazines. As for physical development, the college offers the following equipment for indoor and outdoor games such as badminton, chess, table tennis and cricket etc. Also, there are computerised laboratories, facility for an auditorium for events/seminars and a Health Centre with first aid facilities. It also has privileges such as a gym, good IT and communication equipment, and a cafeteria for students, too. There are guest house and waiting room for the visitors. 

At present Balwanta Devi Jagatpal College of Education provides only one major course which is Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This is a two-year full-time course that has an approved of students’ intake of one hundred students. B.Ed programme is aimed at training students to become professional teachers to meet the challenges in the education fraternity. Though this specialised college aims at training teachers, it only proves the school’s intention of training well rounded teachers capable of shaping young and bright minds.

Placement at Balwanta Devi Jagatpal College of Education is done on the basis of percentage of marks in the qualifying or entrance test. Admission policy of the college is implemented in accordance with the rules set by the State Government, U.T. Administration and the affiliated University.
