About Barama College, Baksa

Barama College, Baksa, was established in 1971 as a co-educational college located in the village of Barama in the state of Assam. The college campus is 38.1 acres and has a varied range of undergraduate programs, affiliated to cater to a student enrolment of 1,698. It is NAAC-accredited with 40 strong faculty members.

 The institution is able to maintain an excellent learning environment for students. Facilities are provided for enhancing the quality of education. The library is the epicenter of educational facilities, comprising approximately 31,000 books, including reference works, valuable journals, and dailies. The students can have free access to the computers and photocopying facilities located within the library premises, which opens at 9 AM and closes at 5 PM on working days. For sports lovers, the college has a playfield to engage in outdoor games like football, volleyball, and cricket, besides a track for athletics. There are also indoor games facilities in the Girls' Common Room as well as an indoor stadium. 

Barama College has a wide variety of undergraduate programs, comprising both full-time and regular ones. In total, there are 19 in 7 degree programs, with specialisation in arts and sciences based on a student's choice of interest and ambition.
