This affiliated college has been providing legal education to many young minds for more than five decades and got approval from the Bar Council of India. The campus of this college is frontal to a conducive environment for learning and growth, spread over an area of 8.01 acres. With a total student strength of 658 and a faculty strength of 13, the personal touch and quality education freely avail in Barpeta Law College. 

Currently, this college offers two comprehensive courses in law; these cater to aspiring legal professionals at different stages of their academic journey. The institution has a host of facilities to enhance the learning experience of its students. The well-stocked library comprises more than 6,000 books, including periodicals, law journals, and reference books, which will help students immensely in their study of law. Students are allowed to borrow two books at a time for a fortnight in order to encourage continuous learning. There is also a well-equipped computer centre with internet facilities since the institution realises the use of computers and internet facilities in the curriculum of a modern legal education course. The moot court facility in Barpeta Law College provides practical training in that students develop their advocacy skills in a simulated courtroom environment. The campus infrastructure also includes an auditorium for events and seminars, sports facilities to keep oneself physically fit, and departmental labs for some sorts of specialised learning. 

Barpeta Law College runs two full-time courses in law: a three-year LLB programme and a five-year integrated BA LLB Hons course. The approved intake for the LLB course is 180 seats, and for the BA LLB (Hons) course, it is 60. Students will be provided with professional knowledge through courses having a strong base in theory and practice. This shall help the students in developing their careers in the legal field with great success.
