BEA College of Education, Davangere is a recognised college of Education was started in the year 1980 with an aim of building the future of Education. This is a co-educational college, which is situated in Davangere of Karnataka state It has been preparing future teachers for more than 40 years. NAAC accredited BEA College of Education functions as an affiliated college, and approved by National Council for teacher Education [NCTE]. The campus size of 1.91 acres enable the institute offer a suitable learning environment and growth of the students. The enrolment of the college is 95 students including both female and male students and numbers of the faculties are 8, so that there is also proper ratio of students and teachers which is very important for educational institutions to give attention to each learner.

Many facilities were put in place to aid enhance learning and development of the all round students by the college. A well-stocked library with periodicals, access to Internet Journals through INFLIBNET, books and reference books, and other related reading materials and online material. There are two hostels for boys and girls separately for out-station students with adequate facilities for comfortable living. BEA College of Education also has well outfitted laboratories, event and seminar place in form of an auditorium, as well as appropriate information technology facilities for supporting computer-based learning. A health center well equipped first aid facilities enhances the health of the students while a guest house is used to house the faculty and other dearest family members.

BEA College of Education currently offers one full-time course: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. Being a two-year programme the college aims to produce effective teachers in the field of computer science with an intake of 100 students approved by the Govt. The B.Ed course at BEA College entails information that integrates theory with teaching practice in line with the current demands of institutions offering education. Despite offering this one degree programme, the college ensures that the students adhere to and are exposed to multiple pedagogy features of education.

BEA College of Education has open admission policy for students and therefore enrollment is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college follows the admission procedure conducted by the State Government of Karnataka and the university to which the college is affiliated.
